Liens from the OTES Bennu 2 delivery Dec. 4, 2019 Updated Dec. 19, 2019 for additional lien. Reviewer: Tim Titus Purpose of review: Confirm calibration processing and documentation for calibration method 2 - infrequent space looks. Review concluded by email Dec. 4, 2019. Result of review: Data are certified. Liens (all on the OTES SIS) =========================== 1. Value of tau_aft should be added to Table 4-5 using the type of description used for tau_fore. 2. Under calibration method 2 (or somewhere in the SIS): - The equation (from Eqn. 9a) “I_scene = V_scene/IRF – I_fore +I_det” should be added for clarity. - The IRF needs to be clearly defined by including Eqn. 14 or at least citing that equation. - I_det needs to be clearly defined by including Eqn. 9c or at least citing that equation. - I_fore needs to be clearly defined by including Eqn. 12c or at least citing that equation. - Idet_space needs to be clearly defined by including Eqn. 9b or at least citing that equation. - Additional text will be needed to describe these new equations and how they are applied. 3. The temperatures stored in the PDS files are in Celsius, but the calibration process typically needs the temperatures in Kelvin. Perhaps this should be clearly stated to avoid any confusion on the part of the reader. Where there are temperature differences, obviously this does not matter if units used are consistent. Additional lien, added Dec. 19, 2019 ==================================== 4. The Orbit A data in each data collection has been included in the Detailed Survey subdirectory. Move the Orbit A data to its own subdirectory in each collection. Planned timeline for liens resolution ===================================== - Updated SIS applying these liens will be provided to PDS on or about Jan. 2, 2020. - The updated SIS will be released to the public on the OTES data archive web page at that time, and incorporated into the OTES bundle in the following delivery, scheduled for Feb. 17th. - Lien #4 will be corrected in the next delivery, scheduled for Feb. 17th, 2020.
