Note: for PDS3 data sets migrated to PDS4, the following text is taken
verbatim from the data set description and confidence level note of the
PDS3 data set catalog file. In these cases, some details may not be correct
as a description of the PDS4 bundle.
                                                           
    The dataset includes available data on imaging polarimetry of the Centaurs
    2060 Chiron, 5154 Pholus, and 10199 Chariklo, TNOs 20000 Varuna, 26375    
    (1999 DE9), 28978 Ixion, 29981 (1999 TD10), 50000 Quaoar, 136472 Makemake,
    90482 Orcus and the dwarf planet 136199 Eris obtained with the VLT and    
    published by Boehnhardt et al. (2004), Rousselot et al. (2005), Bagnulo et
    al. (2006, 2008), and Belskaya et al. (2008, 2010, 2012). The results of  
    polarimetric observations of the Pluto-Charon system were also included.  
    Pluto's polarimetric observations were made in 1972-1988 and published by 
    Kelsey and Fix (1973), Breger and Cochran (1982) and  Avramchuk et al.    
    (1992).                                                                   
                                                                              
    Modification History

    This data set was first archived in 2009 with polarimetric results from   
    seven publications.  Version 2.0 of the data set, with additional data    
    from Bagnulo et al. (2008) and Belskaya et al. (2010), was archived in    
    2011.  Version 3.0, with data added from Belskaya et al. (2012), was

Known issues or problems with the data
======================================

    This data set is intended to represent a complete survey of the literature
    of TNO and Centaur polarimetry.  Details of the confidence level of the   
    individual measurements can be found in the published papers referenced   
    for each entry.                                                           
                                                                              
    Observations of 29981 (1999 TD10) were published by Rousselot et al.      
    (2005) as the mean of two consecutive nights.

Version 1.0 of this bundle was migrated from version 3.0 of the PDS3 data set EAR-A-COMPIL-3-TNO-CEN-POLARIM-V3.0.
