Note:  This bundle has been migrated to PDS4 from the PDS3 data set EAR_SA_COMPIL_3_SATELLITE_COLOR_V1_0.  For PDS3 data sets migrated to PDS4, the following text is taken verbatim from the data set description and confidence level note of the PDS3 data set catalog file. In these cases, some details may not be correct as a description of the PDS4 bundle.

Data:

Data were collected from the published literature and include Johnson-Kron-Cousins color indices and one-sigma uncertainty values for 32 small planetary satellites.  Many objects have data reported by several groups.  Details of the observations and data reduction are to be found in the individual papers.  Note that all included R and I colors are on the Kron-Cousins system.
