Residual liens from the Hayabusa2 ONC delta review of Sept. 20, 2022 Ph1 - to be addressed in phase 1 (before initial release) Ph2 - to be addressed in phase 2 (after initial release and before final archiving) Phase 1 liens checked by SBN on Oct. 28, 2022. All Phase 1 liens are confirmed corrected. [Explanation of fix in square brackets] SIS: x - Ph1 - Flat field section (page 17) mentioned the full frame version and trimmed version of flatfields, and referred them as “version 1”, “version 2”, and “version 3”. In the data bundle, there are only “v03” included for all filters. For v-band, there are two “v03” files, one for ‘t’ and one for ‘f’ with different dates in the file names. It’s confusing here about which is which. I suggest revise this paragraph to reference the flatfield files in the data bundle with a more clear way. [Flatfield description on SIS p.17 has been expanded and clarified.] x - Ph1 - It should be stated in the SIS that the full-frame version (‘f’ version) of the flatfield should be used for v-band and wide-band filter images. [Included in updated flatfield description on SIS p.17.] x - Ph1 - Also, if the ‘t’ version of v-band flatfield is not used for any data in the bundle, maybe it’s better not to include it in the bundle to avoid potential confusion. [The v-band 't' (trimmed) version flatfield file has been removed from the calibration collection to avoid confusion for users.] x - Ph1 - A sentence should be added in the end of the flatfield section to mention that the flatfield file and time-dependency coefficients can be found in the .db file in the data bundle. [This clarification has been included in the flatfield description in SIS p.17.] x - Ph1 - It should be clearly mentioned in the SIS (page 15) that subframe images should not be corrected for smearing. This is what has been done for the data in the updated bundle, but not explicitly mentioned anywhere in the document. [Explanation added in smear noise reduction section on SIS p15.] Calibration collection: x - Ph1 - The flatfield file for v-band listed in the .db file and the SIS (hyb2_onc_c_flat_bse_tvf_f_v03_20190131.fit) is not consistent with the filename in the data bundle (hyb2_onc_c_flat_bse_tvf_f_v03_20180131). [FITS files in the calibration collection have been replaced as follows. The v-band flatfield now has the correct name hyb2_onc_c_flat_bse_tvf_f_v03_20190131.fit. The data for the other calibration FITS files also have the same binary data as the review version, but the creation dates described in the FITS header become newer. The reason for replacing those files is to match the creation date with those FITS files in pipeline software to avoid possible confusion to ONC team in the future.] Geometry data in FITS headers: Ph2 - Sub-sc longitude not corrected for light time. [We agree with the reviewer that light time has significant contribution. We will recalculate values for the keywords with S_* in the FITS header with the light time included. We expect that it may take up to 3 weeks for the bundle to reflect the calculation results. Thus, we would like to make this correction for the revised version release, after the 'certified' version is released.] Ph2 - Ryugu-Hayabusa2 distance in the return phase - discrepancy with undetermined cause [Murakami-san’s investigation revealed that the updated spacecraft orbit SPK file for the period of Ryugu departure was missing from the SPICE meta kernel used to calculate the FITS header geometry information. We asked Murakami-san to include this SPK in the meta kernel, and we will recalculate the FITS header geometry information for this period.] x - Ph1 - Longitude values in the image headers - convert from [-180, 180] to [0, 360]. [SIS: In the keyword table on p. 40, 41, 44, and 46, the descriptions of the keywords S_SOLLON, S_SSCLON, M_FCLON, and M_4CNLON have been modified. To minimize changes, the following additions were made: 'longitude' --> 'longitude (0–360)'] [FITS file headers: The FITS header has been modified for phase 1 as follows: Target files: All FITS files of l2a (data_raw), l2b (data_partially_processed), l2c (data_calibrated), l2d (data_iof), and l2e (data_reflectance). Target keywords: S_SOLLON and S_SSCLON. Modification: If the previous longitude value is negative, 360 is added to make it positive. [We (ONC team) will make a provisional modification to unify the range definition of longitude values to [0, 360] (in Ph1). When we recalculate the above (3-1) and (3-2), the numerical range of longitude will be fit within [0,360]. (in Ph2)] Number of images: No action needed - Number of images in the geometry data decreased from the prior submission for the proximity and return phases. [At the time of the last review, l2dbpc geometry data was generated even for images that did not include Ryugu in the FOV, such as space and flat-field lamp (FF lamp) images. This time, the number of l2dbpc files has been reduced due to the exclusion of such data.] Additional corrections suggested by the ONC team: Ph2 - Correct typos in the FITS header such as flter -> filter x - Ph1 - Correction of the Hapke model equation in the SIS [In SIS p.22, the pi was removed from eq. (24).] That is all.
