The document directory contains documentation files, where available, for the 
data set in this volume.  All document files will have an accompanying label  
file to describe content and structure.  Label files have the same name as the
main document file, with an extension of ".lbl".

ads.asc -  This is an internal file of bibliographic information to be sent by
        PDS to the Abstract Data Service (ADS) to list this data set in their 
        service.  This file is not intended to be useful to data users.

hcluster_syn_c.asc -  "HCM Families Program for Synthetic Proper Elements",   
        Hierarchical Clustering Method (HCM) code of David Nesvorny, which was
        used to generate the 119 asteroid families from synthetic proper      
        elements of this data set.  To use the code, the filename must be     
        changed from 'hcluster_syn_c.asc' to 'hcluster_syn.c'.                
                                                                              
hcluster_syn_c.lbl - The label file for the document "HCM Families Program for
        Synthetic Proper Elements" described above.                           
                                                                              
nrutil_c.asc -  "Memory Allocation Functions for HCM Code", This file includes
        memory allocation functions and is used, along with nrutil.h, in      
        compiling hcluster_syn.c.  To use it, rename to nrutil.c.             
                                                                              
nrutil_c.lbl - The label file for the document "Memory Allocation Functions   
        for HCM Code" described above.                                        
                                                                              
nrutil_h.asc -  "Memory Allocation Functions Header", This file contains the  
        header for nrutil.c and is used with it in compiling the HCM code     
        hcluster_syn.c.  To use, rename to nrutil.h.                          
                                                                              
nrutil_h.lbl - The label file for the document "Memory Allocation Functions   
        Header" described above.                                              
                                                                              
numb_syn.asc -  "Knezevic and Milani Synthetic Proper Elements of Numbered    
        Asteroids", This file contains synthetic proper elements of numbered  
        asteroids calculated by Knezevic and Milani using the method described
        in Knezevic et al. (2002).  This file was the input to the Nesvorny   
        HCM program hcluster_syn.c in producing the 119 families from         
        synthetic proper elements in this data set.  In order to be used as   
        input to hcluster_syn.c, this file must be renamed from 'numb_syn.asc'
        to 'numb.syn'.
