Asteroid Radar History
In the following table, NEA = near-Earth asteroid, PHA = Potentially Hazardous Asteroid, MBA = main-belt asteroid, BIN = binary, and XXX-N identifies the Nth radar-detected XXX. For comets, "n" and/or "c" in parentheses indicates detection of the nucleus and/or the coma. [K] denotes the object's Kth apparition that yielded a radar detection. Observatory abbreviations are given in brackets after the reference. For multi-observatory experiments, the order in which observatories detected echoes is indicated. For two-antenna observations, the transmitting and receiving antennas are given along with the transmitter frequency (MHz) in the format [TX-RCV(FREQ)]. Wavelengths are as follows unless otherwise indicated: [H] Haystack 3.8 cm [G] Goldstone 3.5 [A] Arecibo 13 [VLA] Very Large Array 3.5 [VLBA] Very Long Baseline Array 13 or 3.5 [EF] Effelsberg 6 [EV] Evpatoria 3.5 [K] Kashima 3.5 [U] Usuda 3.5 [MA] Madrid 13 [GBT] Greenbank Telescope 13 [ME] Medicina 3.5
