  The Larson FTS is a portable infrared fourier transform spectrometer
  incorporating an Idealab Inc. model IF-3 interferometer and with a
  beam-splitter serving three detectors, a PbS detector covering the
  range 0.87 - 4.0 microns, an InSb detector covering 2.7 - 5.6 microns,
  and a cold-filtered InSb detector covering 0.87 - 2.7 microns.  The
  superiority of the InSb detectors largely obviates the use of the
  PbS detector.  This instrument provides 0.5 cm^-1 spectral
  resolution and is portable for use at various telescopes.  The
  instrument is described in detail in Larson and Fink 1975 (Applied
  Optics 14, 2085) and in Larson and Fink 1977 (Applied Spectroscopy
  31, 386).
