The INDEX directory contains a table summarizing the data in this
data volume.  This table file is accompanied by a detached PDS label
with the same name and a .LBL extension, which contains a complete
description of the structure of the table.

INDEX.TAB:  The index table contains an entry for each spectral image
cube file in the data volume.  Each entry includes information about 
filenames and paths, time range of data, target, instrument status, 
cube size andcselected geometry ranges.
