PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2019-01-31 NOTE = "Description of the DOCUMENT directory contents." END_OBJECT = TEXT END The BROWSE directory contains GRaND quick-look reports. These reports include a graphical overview of GRaND observations and state information for a given interval. The intervals convered in these reports are the same as the intervals covered in the data files located in the DATA directory. Reports are organized into separate subdirectories for each mission sub-phase. The reports are provided as PDF files. The reports files are named according to the convention: GRD_lll_yymmdd1_yymmdd2_REPORT.PDF where: lll = data processing level (L-1A) yymmdd1 = start date of report interval yymmdd = stop date of report interval Notes: 1. The high voltages values for HVPS1-6 shown in red on the strip charts are inaccurate. During nominal operations, they are always lower than the commanded set-point (green trace) by about 10% when GRaND is configured for science data acquisition. The setpoints are more accuruate indicators of the applied high voltages than the values read-out and reported in the state-of-health telemetry. 2. The BGO pulse height spectrum and the BGO-CZT pair spectra are displayed as a function of pulse height with gamma ray energy units (keV). A linear calibration function based on laboratory measurements was used to convert pulse height (ADC data number) to keV. The gain and offset for sensors varies during flight. So, the energy scale is for display purposes only and cannot be used for quantitative analyses. The histograms and event data in the Level 1A are uncalibrated. 3. The browse reports contain a labeling error. The CAT10 (CZT) pulse height spectra are displayed in order by their detector IDs: 0, 1, 2, ..., 14, 15; however, the labels are incorrect. The mapping between the incorrect labels in the browse report and the correct CZT IDs follows: Label ID ==================== CZT11 0 CZT3 2 CZT1 3 CZT2 4 CZT8 5 CZT10 6 CZT0 7 CZT15 8 CZT7 10 CZT5 11 CZT6 12 CZT14 14 CZT4 15 Blank spaces appear in the report for CZT sensors that have been disabled (IDs 1, 9, and 13). The labels were corrected in browse reports generated after 10-Nov-2017.
