PDS_VERSION_ID = PDS3 RECORD_TYPE = STREAM OBJECT = TEXT PUBLICATION_DATE = 2015-02-12 NOTE = "Description of the CALIB directory contents." END_OBJECT = TEXT END The flat fields and stray light patterns in the "FLAT_FIELDS" and "STRAY_LIGHT_PATTERNS" directories can be used to radiometrically calibrate Dawn Framing Camera 2 images. The calibrated images are to first order corrected for in-field stray light. The full calibration process is described in Schroeder et al. (2013) "In-flight calibration of the Dawn Framing Camera", Icarus 226, 1304-1317 and Schroeder et al. (2014) "In-flight calibration of the Dawn Framing Camera II: Flat fields and stray light correction", Icarus 234, 99-108. Note that there is no stray light pattern for filter F1 (clear), because images acquired through this filter are free of this type of stray light. As described in Schroeder et al. (2014), the filter 3 flat field varies with the direction of motion of the filter wheel (increasing or decreasing). Both versions of the F3 flat field image are included here.
