The EXTRAS directory contains files which facilitate the use of the data on   
the disk, but which are not actually required for the use or understanding    
of those data.                                                                
                                                                              
This directory contains full sized TIFF versions of the DTM and mosaic files  
in the DATA subdirectories. These images may be useful to users of ArcGIS or  
other software packages. However, the data in the TIFF file are stored in a   
16-bit signed format that is not supported by all TIFF viewers. If the        
viewing software does not support this format, the image will not be          
displayed correctly and may appear saturated, black, or corrupted.
