Description:
The following web page provides an integrated view of the Near Earth
Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) X_ray Spectrometer (XRS) Level-3 images from
the XRS optimal sampling configurations during specific solar flares.
The data are generally from low orbital distances less than 50 km
from the 433 Eros asteroid data. This web page was developed
for the as part of the NEAR XGRS rquired submission to the NASA Planteary
Data System (PDS). This file is part of the ./BROWSE partition of the NEAR
XRS Level-3 database. For description of the images and supplementary
text see OVERVIEW.txt in the ./BROWSE directory.
Each daily image set includes 3 images and one summary text file:
1. NEAR XRS DAILY UNFILTERED HISTOGRAM
2. NEAR XRS DAILY SOLAR HISTOGRAM
3. NEAR XRS DAILY COVERAGE MAP
4. NEAR XRS SUMMARY TEXT FILE
