2001-07-18     Files with unusual extensions are present in the directory     
Cornell        tree under BROWSE/.  Some of these are text files that         
               may have lines longer than 80 characters.                      
               This is only an anomaly with respect to the PDS standard       
               and represents no problem or error in the data.

2002-10-25     The spreadsheet that describes the Hand laid Mosaic images,    
PDS-SBN        hand_mosaic_data.xls, is outdated.  No one-to-one correlation  
               could be found between the image names listed in the           
               spreadsheet and image names listed on the Hand laid Mosaics    
               web page.  Some of the later entries have values in the        
               sequence column that match the file names.  However, most of   
               the sequence column is blank.  The Hand laid Mosaics web site  
               at Northwest University includes the same outdated spreadsheet.

2002-11-11     The Hand laid Mosaic browse tool in the PDS data holdings,     
PDS-SBN        /nieros_4001/browse/handlaid/, contains one mosaic file not    
               found on Hand laid Mosaic web site at Northwestern University. 
               The mosaic file is 222_OPN_BRN2_KH_1_KM.PNG.

2002-11-12     The /NIEROS_2nnn/ volumes contain MSI images that were         
PDS-SBN        calibrated in units of radiance and deblurred (RADDBL).        
               However, the /NIEROS_2001/DOCUMENT/MSICAL.TXT document and     
               the data set catalog files do not describe RADDBL processing.  
               RADDBL defines images calibrated to units of radiance;         
               in addition, the images were deblurred by application of       
               the Fourier filtering restoration of a degraded image          
               point-spread function.
