   Whenever (EA > IA+2) .OR. (EA > IA+6), the ET is invalid.                  

     *** should be EA < IA+2

   (Note that this is stated in the review paper,p7 with a little typo:       
   its EA-IA<2, not IA-EA<2, and 6<EA-IA, not 6<IA-EA.                        
   This is due to the fact that in laboratory calibrations the EA is          
   nominally IA + 4. The IA signal is regarded as more reliable in this       
   case than the target signal, since it is more exposed to noise. If IT      
   is also invalid, no speed determination results.
